DISABILITY ADVOCACY NSW / 2022 - PRESENT

Making research accessible
and engaging.

Disability Advocacy NSW is committed to elevating the voices of those impacted by a system in need of significant improvement. A key part of this advocacy work includes research and assessing individuals with disabilities' interactions with services such as the NDIS, education, and housing.

Weekday’s relationship with DA has evolved over the years. Initially engaged in 2022 to design several research papers, Weekday stepped in after internal staffing changes to assist with social media tiles, media releases, social posting, report writing, and interview transcribing.

Since the beginning of 2024, DA has worked with Weekday on a monthly retainer basis, providing assistance with design, copy, and project management tasks as needed. To streamline the review process, our team created a ‘design request form’ and an associated approval workflow, allowing each region to directly request local design needs. As a result, Weekday has developed branded, editable Canva documents for regular events, A4 flyers, and social media tiles.

Additionally, our team has coordinated signage updates for premises across DA’s 12 regions, created new merchandise for their advocate teams, and updated template resources for their clients to use in legal settings.
