AUSTRALIANS FOR MURDOCH ROYAL COMMISSION / 2023

Shaking up the media landscape with data.

With a mission to take down the Murdoch empire, Australians for Murdoch Royal Commission (AFMRC) believe that only a Royal Commission will have the authority, resources and independence to properly investigate the impacts media monopolies have on our communities, our media and on our democracy.  

AFMRC approached Weekday in late 2023 for help designing their report: ‘Poisoning the debate: How the Murdoch press is campaigning against the Voice to Parliament’. The report looked into the media coverage of the Referendum and laid out evidence of bias for consideration.

Passionate about both the 2023 Referendum and creating a fairer media landscape, the Weekday team was honoured to work on such an important project. AFMRC also engaged Weekday to design their follow-up report,‘Under the facade of journalism: How News Corp used Fear, Manipulation and Division to Campaign Against the Indigenous Voice to Parliament’.
